14 / 12 Sand Gravel Pump Delivery Of Large Particle Iron Mortar Coal Ash Slurry
1) The use of gravel pump construction greatly reduces the working cost and is simple and convenient, for example, the advantages of small size, convenient erection and maintenance, simple operation, and small capacity of supporting power facilities.
2) It can continuously transport strong abrasive materials that are so large that the general slurry pump can not transport,widely used in mines to clean tailings, power industry to remove coal ash slag, seawater sand selection, coal washing and other industries.
3)All kinds of horizontal slurry pumps use the same series of transmission parts, including brackets and bearing assemblies. The pump shaft has large diameter, good rigidity, short cantilever, no bending and vibration under severe working conditions, and the bearing is based on the transmitted power. Different choices of heavy-duty single or double row tapered roller bearings and cylindrical roller bearings 14/12G-G gravel pumps can withstand the axial and radial loads of the pump. The bearings are greased and the bearings are sealed at both ends. Cover, labyrinth and labyrinth ring, gravel pump can effectively prevent the slurry and other dirt from entering the bearing, ensuring that the bearing can run safely and has a high life.
In order to ensure the efficient operation of the pump, the 12/10g-g gravel pump must periodically adjust the gap between the impeller and the front guard to maintain it between 0.75-1.00mm. The adjustment steps are as follows:
For the pump of the middle open type bracket, the clearance between the impeller and the front guard plate should be 0.75~1.00mm, which is generally adjusted before leaving the factory. If it is found that this gap does not meet the requirements, it should be adjusted; if problems are found during operation, the adjustment should also be stopped. The pump of the center open bracket is adjusted as follows:
Loosen the bracket cover compression nut, loosen the bearing box adjustment screw, and evenly tighten the bearing housing compression nut to move the rotor assembly toward the pump head, and tighten the side wheel until the disc does not move. Note that the direction of the car should be turned according to the work of the pump.
Use a feeler gauge to measure the clearance δ=a between the flange of the bearing housing and the end face of the bracket; at this time, the clearance between the impeller and the front guard is zero.
Loosen the bearing housing compression nut, evenly tighten the bearing box adjustment screw, and move the rotor assembly to the motor direction. Check the clearance δ with the feeler gauge until δ=a+(0.75~1.00)mm (large pump takes a large value). The clearance should be uniform and the bearing cage compression nut should be tightened so that the axial position of the rotor is completely fixed.
Shaft sealing for a slurry pump :
The packing seal is the most commonly used seal type of slurry pumps, it is composed by packing ring, packing sleeve, packing, packing gland, stud bolts and nuts.
Through the packing and shaft surface contact pressure, it prevents the medium leakage to achieve the purpose of sealing. The existence of many of the small gap and the groove, making it possible to achieve necessary sealing pressure by sufficient pressing forcing the packing material into elastoplastic deformation to reduce the gap between the contact seal surface.
When the infiltration of the media or the media is gas, the penetration leakage through the packing is almost inevitable, but the specific mechanism of this kind leakage will be explored further. For the vast majority of the liquid medium, the leakage mainly through the interface between the packing and the moving parts. For slurry pumps, the large size particles make it difficult to close the small gaps in shaft seal, so,when pumping the corrosive liquids or the liquids contains corrosive slurry, it will penetrate into the packing seal, these will cause wear and corrosion of the shaft.
Especially when two kinds of materials are constituting the friction pairs in the electrolyte solution, there may occur the galvanic corrosion that is much more accelerated corrosion damage to the shaft. So, when transporting toxic, corrosive and poisonous liquid, due to the small amount of leakage, and even allowed no leakage, it can not use packing seal.
